Guardian Tales is generous enough that most accounts are playable without ever rerolling — the story alone hands out real rewards, and the Point Hero / 3-Party structure means you don't need a full team of top-rarity pulls to get moving. A reroll is worth it mainly if you want a strong Exclusive Weapon or a specific Myth-grade Hero to build around from day one.
Should you reroll?
It's optional, not mandatory — Guardian Tales' early campaign is beatable with whatever starter Heroes you land on, since the Point Hero you control directly matters more than the Party slots.
If you do reroll, weapons matter as much as Heroes: aim for a natural 3-star weapon on your summon banner, since a strong Exclusive Weapon can carry a Hero far past what their base rarity suggests.
A fast reroll loop: clear the early story chapters and their side quests, run the rift dungeons unless you're already sitting on a large gem stockpile, then check the achievement list for any one-time reward you can grab before resetting.
- Prioritize a natural 3-star weapon over a specific Hero if you have to choose.
- Don't over-invest reroll time chasing one exact Myth-grade Hero — several Unique-grade Heroes (Erina, Nari) hold up fine into the midgame.
- Clear achievements before resetting — some hand out gems or summon currency you'd otherwise lose.
Your first week
Push the main story first. It's the fastest way to unlock the rest of the game's systems, and campaign stages are also where a lot of your early gear and material come from.
Level up your Point Hero before spreading resources across the roster — a strong active Hero smooths out the early game far more than three half-built Party members.
Don't hoard stamina before you're deep into endgame content. It refills quickly and there's no real payoff to sitting on a full bar — spend it on the story or the towers while they're still giving good rewards per run.
Where to spend early currency
Gems are the game's premium currency (used for summons); gold and Hero EXP items are earned constantly from stages, so don't be afraid to spend those freely on your main team.
Check the Hero Growth section of the shop for Awakening Stones early — Awakening is one of the first real power spikes available to a new account and is worth prioritizing on your Point Hero.
Save any free premium currency events give you rather than spending on the first banner you see — Guardian Tales runs collab and seasonal banners often, and a saved pool lets you target whichever one lines up with your team.
