What Love Nikki is
Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen is a dress-up game from Papergames; the global version is published by Elex and has been out since April 2017. Every stage is a styling battle: you dress Nikki, the judges score the outfit, and the total sets your grade. A stage scores five of the game's ten attributes (Gorgeous or Simple, Elegant or Lively, Mature or Cute, Sexy or Pure, Warm or Cool), each with its own weight, and some stages add a bonus for a tag such as Swimsuit or Chinese Classical.
The story mode, the Journey, runs across three volumes. These pages cover the 37 chapters live on the global server, 415 scored stages on Maiden and Princess difficulty, and the 17 themes of the Stylist's Arena.
What to do first
Buy dresses before anything else. The dress is the largest single score in an outfit, and a tag bonus counts double on a dress but only a fifth on a coat or an accessory. In our Chapter 1 shopping list, Nikki's Dress supplies 37,729 of the 59,848 points the whole outfit scores on stage 1-5.
Spend Gold on the early Journey and keep your Diamonds. That same list is 28 Gold-store pieces for 57,013 Gold, and it takes all nine Princess stages of Chapter 1 at least 15% past their S lines.
Fill every accessory slot. The game cuts the accessory total as you wear more, down to 40% at sixteen pieces or more, and a full set still wins: on the Arena theme Golden Odeum, 23 no-Diamond accessories add 21,594 points where the best three add 7,795.
Go for the S. A Princess stage drops its item 15% of the time on a C grade and 30% on an S, and some pieces drop only on an S.
Read a stage before you shop for it. Stage 4-12 asks for Bunny Girl clothes, and its tag bonus is worth 70,000 points on a dress against a pass line of 77,500. Clothes without the tag score almost nothing there, so the Gold store cannot pass it at all. The dress you need is crafted.
Where to start
Open Story Stages and pick the chapter you are on, then the stage. You get three outfits for it, each with its grade: the best in the game, the best from the clothes you have ticked, and the best with no Diamonds. Every piece is named with a Copy button, and the stage's weights, score lines, drops and top items per slot sit folded underneath. The chapter's Gold-store shopping list comes after its stages. The Stylist's Arena page does the same for its 17 themes, and Custom Stage scores any weights you type in, for an event stage the site does not list.
