Verdict

SituationalOnly worth the unlock with otters beside it, since Unity does nothing without them.

Sest.
Why this tier

Immune to status effects, and Synergy Strike grows it with every cast on the enemy side. Unity is wasted without otters beside it, and the unlock costs 10 Season 1 rainbows.

How to use Otterknight

Otterknight is the most expensive unlock in the game and worth it for an otter team. It takes stellarizing 5 specific rainbow otters and giving up 10 Season 1 rainbows, 5 of them Steel. For that price status effects cannot touch it, and Synergy Strike hits every enemy while granting it a stage of ATK and DEF plus a Swift each cast.

Unity copies those gains to allied otters on the field, but outside an otter team that trait sits idle. Fire and Royal hit it for double.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
