Worth a lot on a boss and very little on waves, and most early stages are waves. That split keeps the base form at B until Evolution sharpens the one hit it has.

Evolution puts its whole gain into Waterspout, making it the top single-target finisher in Season 1 Water. It stays at A because the three-Mythic Conquest team has no slot for it.
Overview
Bosses are the only reason to build Fingenue. Waterspout drops one column of water on one enemy, and at full Ascension that hit climbs past anything else a Season 1 Water UR can do to a single target. Ocean's Favor adds a flat damage bonus in battle. Nothing else in the kit touches a second enemy or helps an ally.
It earns a slot in the Water teams from the early All-UR squad through Season 2's Kungfury lineup. In the three-Mythic Conquest team it is gone, because Sylphira's front-row sweeps and Plunderjaw's bite cover its job. Against waves, Ninjump's fan clears more with the same Essence, so build Fingenue after Ninjump, and only if bosses are what stall you.
