Solo Leveling: Arise/Basics
Solo Leveling: ARISE — Basics
How hunters, elements, shadows and gear fit together in Solo Leveling: ARISE. All figures are the game's own, relayed from the community wiki's factual data and reworded; tier lists and build guides are not used.
Elements & weakness
Every hunter and weapon has one of five elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Light or Dark.
Each enemy is weak to a specific element. Hitting an enemy with its weak element deals bonus damage and builds Break far faster, so teams are usually built around the element a stage is weak to.
Sung Jinwoo himself is aligned with Dark, but his starting weapons can shift his element (Water with Kasaka's Venom Fang, Fire with Knight Killer).
Rarity & rank
Playable hunters come in two gacha rarities: SSR (49) and SR (13).
Separately, each hunter has a canon story rank (S-Rank down to E-Rank, plus National Level) shown on their profile — this is lore, not power tier.
Classes
Combat role (how the hunter plays): Assassin, Breaker, Fighter, Healer, Mage, Ranger, Tank.
Battle Class (the OVERDRIVE grouping used by some artifact set bonuses): Breaker, Elemental Buster, Elemental Stacker, Striker, Supporter.
Each hunter's skills scale off either Attack or Defense — the profile lists which, and it decides what stats to build.
Skills
Every hunter has a Basic Attack, a Core Attack, two Basic Skills, a Support Skill (used from the bench), a QTE Skill (triggered by dodges and other cues), an Ultimate Skill (spends the Power Gauge) and a Passive.
Duplicates unlock five Advancement nodes that strengthen the kit further.
Army of Shadows
Sung Jinwoo extracts shadow soldiers from defeated bosses — 15 are in the game. Up to three deploy alongside the hunter team.
Each shadow has seven skills and a Shadow Authority bonus that buffs the whole team, growing as the shadow is promoted (Common → Elite → Knight → Elite Knight → General). At General a shadow also unlocks an Armament with its own passive.
See the Shadows page for the full roster.
Weapons
Each hunter has one signature SSR weapon; any hunter weapon can be equipped on anyone for its stats, but the special effects only activate for its owner.
Sung Jinwoo uses his own separate pool of Player weapons — these carry a full attack chain and skill rather than a passive, and can't be worn by hunters.
Artifacts
Eight artifact slots: four Armor (Helmet, Chestplate, Gloves, Boots) and four Jewelry (Necklace, Bracelet, Ring, Earrings).
Sets grant bonuses for wearing multiple pieces: Armor sets (15) and Jewelry sets (13) give 2- and 4-piece bonuses; Complete sets (12) span all eight slots and add a powerful 8-piece bonus.
Each artifact rolls one main effect and up to four sub-effects by rarity (Common 1 → Legendary 4), then can be enhanced, enchanted and reforged.
See the Weapons & Artifacts page for every set bonus.
Cores
A separate equip slot for both hunters and Sung Jinwoo. 18 named Cores in three types — Mind (Attack), Body (Defense), Spirit (HP) — each also coming in Rare / Heroic / Legendary, which scales its passive.
A Core has two stats: the first is fixed by its type, the second is random from the crit / damage / penetration / MP pool. Each type's passive has a random activation condition (a given element, or Sung Jinwoo).
Cores are levelled with Core XP, then enhanced with Solidified Stones to 100%, then Limit Broken with Condensed Energy for +5 levels.
Blessing Stones
Sung Jinwoo only — up to four equipped. 43 unique stones, each in four rarities (Rare / Heroic / Legendary / Transcendent) that scale the effect, for 172 total.
Slots unlock at levels 50 / 60 / 70 (slot 1 from the start, fixed to "Daily Quest Clear" until Chapter 11).
Obtained by fusing Powder of Blessing or duplicates, from Blessing Stone chests, or by refining a Legendary; a Legendary can then be transcended with 15 Transcendent Stones.
See the Weapons & Artifacts page for every stone's effect.
