Solo Leveling: Arise is generous with pulls and pity, and it hands new accounts a guaranteed SSR. This guide covers the early decisions that matter and the order to spend on. It's built from the game's own systems, Netmarble's developer notes and community-creator consensus, reworded. For where individual hunters rank, see the Tier List; for line-ups, see Best Teams.
Don't reroll
Rerolling means clearing to the end of Chapter 2 on a guest account each time, which is slow, and the payoff is small: the game gives you a guaranteed SSR selector, a generous pity system, and several free copies of Cha Hae-In through the story.
Just start your real account, play the story, and use the selector and step-up banners well. A casual account clears the game's content with well-built A- and S-tier hunters — you do not need a perfect opening.
Early priorities
Push the main story. It unlocks systems, hands out currency, and gives you free Cha Hae-In copies (Advancement stars) that make her a real DPS for free.
Redeem the codes on the Codes page — they're weapon tickets, keys and upgrade materials.
Spend your SSR selector on a hunter that anchors an element team — a main DPS or the one irreplaceable stacker for an element (see Best Teams). Don't spend it on a support you could get free later.
Pick one element and build that team deep rather than spreading pulls across several. Boss damage checks are single-element, so one strong team clears far more than three half-built ones.
Where power comes from
In rough priority order for a new account:
- Hunter level and skill levels — the cheapest, do this first and keep it capped.
- Weapon — a hunter's weapon is a large share of their power. A hunter's own Exclusive Weapon is best; a good generic SSR weapon is fine until then.
- Artifacts — the set bonuses (2/4/8-piece) matter more than the raw stat rolls early. Get a full set on your carry before chasing perfect substats.
- Advancement — duplicate copies unlock star nodes that are often build-defining. Story-farmed Cha Hae-In copies are the clearest example.
- Skill Runes / stones, Cores and (for Sung Jinwoo only) Blessing Stones — the long-tail upgrades you top up over weeks.
Building Sung Jinwoo
Sung Jinwoo is not part of the elemental team-building — he's a separate carry who slots into most modes and scales entirely off his own investment: his player weapons, Blessing Stones, his shadow army and the shadows' promotion ranks.
He's worth investing in early because he works everywhere, and the newer Monarch of Shadows form only raises that ceiling. Build a shadow line-up alongside him (see the Shadows page) — the Shadow Authority team buffs stack with the rest of your team.
Daily and weekly routine
Daily: clear your stamina on the material dungeons your carry needs (weapon-upgrade, artifact, gold), run the free Gate entries, spend Boss Battle / Power of Calamity attempts, and claim idle rewards.
Weekly: reset and re-clear Guild Boss (you'll want around six hunters of an element so you can field two teams), the weekly Gate bosses, and the current Workshop of Brilliant Light tier.
Keep an eye on the banner schedule and step-up events — save your premium currency and pull when a hunter who fits your element team is featured.
