Clash of Critters Economy & Auras reference

Updated 4 September 2026

Clash of Critters gives you far more Tatari than you can invest in, and the fastest accounts are the ones that spend Candy, Pinballs and duplicates in the right order rather than the ones that rush every evolution. This page is the reference for that: the currencies, what actually raises a Tatari's power, and the element Auras that a T4 evolution unlocks. Reworded from Farlight's patch notes and community consensus; see the Tier List for how individual lines rank.

The currencies

Pinballs are the main currency for almost everything. They come from Pinball Trees at Camp, clearing stages, events, Horde Invasion daily quests, and optional purchases. Don't spend them impulsively — the Pinball Machine's event rewards rotate, so it's usually worth waiting for an event whose rewards you actually need.

Candy raises a Tatari's level. Duplicate Tatari raise its star level. Event currencies (energy drinks, fertiliser, fishing rods, cakes, skateboards, bullet coins and so on) come from the Pinball Machine and from team events, and are what several evolution trials ask for.

Level vs stars vs feed meter

Three separate things raise a Tatari's power. Candy raises its level. Duplicates raise its star level, which is a large stat jump — and the Release Podium lets you release duplicates of a maxed Tatari for a gift. Feeding raises its feed meter, a permanent bonus that stacks on top of level and stars.

Feed level, star level and Dojo badges together usually move the needle more than pushing one extra evolution tier. Sort those out on the Tatari you actually field before you rush a T4. An evolution is only worth forcing when the fight specifically needs the higher-tier form or its Aura.

The Pinball Machine

The Pinball Machine is the core progression loop. You spend Pinballs to pull Tatari, Candy, more Pinballs, and event currencies.

Which event currencies the machine hands out changes with whatever event is currently live — energy drinks, fertiliser, fishing rods, cakes and the rest. That rotation is exactly why several evolution trials ask you to collect a specific one of them, and why timing an evolution to the right event matters.

Evolution materials and timing

Every evolution needs the Tatari at a star threshold plus its evolution trial — a specific in-game task shown on that Tatari's page. Many trials are just "feed to raise stats" plus a star count, but a lot of the mid and high tiers also want an event currency you only earn while a particular team event is running.

Once you own enough Gold or Red Tatari you can preview the higher-tier trials in advance, so you can stockpile the currency you'll need before the event comes back around. The Trials list marks the popular ones "HOT", and any trial tied to an event shows whether that event is live right now.

The Evolution Planner lists every line's full chain, star thresholds and trials, and flags which lines need a live-event currency — use it to avoid committing Candy and stars to a line you then can't finish for weeks.

Element Auras — the T4 payoff

A T4 (Rainbow-form) evolution's main reward is its Aura: a passive buff applied to your whole team for as long as that Tatari is on the field. There is one Aura per element, and its effect is fixed by element — the specific Rainbow line only decides which element's Aura you're bringing.

You only need one copy of an Aura on the field. A second Tatari of the same element does not stack it, so there's no reason to field two Rainbow carriers of the same element for the buff alone.

The Rock Aura and the Lightning Aura are the highest-value in most content, and especially in Island Goldrush — damage reduction keeps a damage-race board alive, and team-wide ATK Speed is a straight damage multiplier. Aim to have a Rainbow-form aura carrier of your main element ready for serious runs. On each Tatari's page, the final form's skill text names the Aura it projects.

AuraEffect while the carrier is on the field
FireBoosts every ally's ATK
GrassRaises every ally's max HP
WaterHeals all allies over time
RockReduces damage taken for all allies
LightningRaises every ally's ATK Speed

Account power checklist

A rough order for a new or mid-game account: redeem the standing codes; evolve your progression core (Waveflutter, Cheerspring, Tideon, Rockwu, a reliable tank) up to Tier 3; feed those until every stat is at least B grade; put star levels into your mains from duplicates; push the Badge Dojo of your main element for its three badges; then branch into T4 evolutions for the Auras and into mode specialists (Goldrush, Horde, Dojo).

Trainer Title (Novice through Supreme) rises with your total badge count across all elements. It's a profile marker only — let it climb on its own as you earn badges where they're useful, rather than spreading Dojo runs thin to raise it.
