Why this tier

LIL TOMATO sits in C with the lowest rating ceiling in the game, and Ketchup drains up to 5 Energy for small stage gains. OLD TOMATO gets far more from a bigger bar.

How to use LIL TOMATO

LIL TOMATO's Ketchup drains up to 5 SP and hits for just 15, gaining an ATK stage past 3 SP and DEF past 4. Its swappable skill sets the element. 90 ATK and the lowest rating ceiling in the game keep it weak. OLD TOMATO does the same job with an 8 SP bar, so skip this form.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
