C
Why this tier

Spookling is C because Nightmare and Fright only punish Asleep targets, and 75 HP, joint lowest in the game, means it rarely lasts. Meteofly does more for a sleep team.

How to use Spookling

Spookling hits sleeping targets: Nightmare gives its basic attacks a 20% chance of a free extra swing against an Asleep enemy, and Fright deals 50% more to one. Hypnotize sets that up. 75 HP is the joint lowest in the game, so it rarely survives long enough. Meteofly is the better sleep pick.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
