At a glance
- Why this tier
Clearing Leech and Paralysis off your side with every Sacred Fire is what ranks Zhu Que in S, since those are the plans at the top of the list. Water, Electric, Ground and Ice all hit it for double.

How to use Zhu Que
Zhu Que is the Fire pick for a team that wants to outlast. Burn cannot hurt it and heals it instead, and Sacred Fire burns the whole field for 120 power, its own side included, which feeds that trait. 115 HP is the second highest in the game.
Its real value is the cleanse: Sacred Fire cures your Lumi of every status except Burn, clearing the Leech from Floragon and Thornbloom and Zaphound's Paralysis. Four types deal double, and Xuan Wu washes its Burn off, so switch out of that one. Charigon hits harder on a single target.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
