Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium GFL2: Exilium — endgame modes guide

Updated 4 September 2026

Once the campaign is done, GFL2: Exilium is a rotation of weekly and biweekly modes. Each rewards a different resource and asks for a different kind of team. This guide covers what each mode is, what it drops, and the archetype you want for it. Mode mechanics are from the game and official previews, reworded; team-shape advice is loadoutgg's synthesis from the Tier List and Best Teams — never a copied ranking. For specific squads see Best Teams.

Boundary Push

A stealth-and-extraction mode (community nickname 'Tarkov mode'), in the Time-Limited Events menu, reset weekly. You move one lead doll around a top-down map, assassinate enemies that aren't in cover, and avoid detection to reach the boss or clear supply boxes.

Two sub-modes: Breakthrough (4 dolls, base game resources, can also be farmed passively by assigning dolls to Crystal Collection slots) and Phase Clash (5 dolls, Remolding Core / Remolding Pattern resources, must be played manually).

Weapon type matters more than the tier list here: Blades have the smallest alert range and ignore cover; Rifles have the longest attack range; SMGs and MGs can be upgraded to ignore cover or hit groups. Bring a spread of types and a doll who can one-shot from stealth.

Entering each sub-area costs Delve Permits (80 to start), so plan a route. Every forced battle raises the Crisis Level, adding reinforcements — fewer fights is better. Dolls used are locked for 15 hours, so don't send your only main team.

Boss Fight (weekly)

Unlocks at Commander Level 27. Spend one of three weekly Challenge Access to fight a rotating boss (the roster cycles — Deichgraf, Ledyanaya Mogila, Tumorhynchus and others). Score against Challenge Targets earns Segment Marks for the shop, which is the main source of Basic Info Cores.

This is a pure single-target damage race with fixed mechanics. Bring your best carry, its dedicated support, and match the boss's phase weakness.

Freeze (Makiatto + Suomi) and Hydro (Springfield + Tololo) are the reliable boss-killers; Burn works with Qiongjiu. Corrosion is weaker here — save it for clearing content.

Crossroad Challenge (Commander Level 50) is the same thing but you pick which boss to fight.

Peak Value Assessment & Extreme Peak

Unlocks at Commander Level 30. Groups of maps cleared once each to unlock weekly reward tiers; maps are split into waves, waves into hordes of enemies.

This rewards roster breadth — you'll want two or three functional teams across different phases, not one stacked squad, because dolls fatigue across the wave clears.

Extreme Peak (Commander Level 55) is the high-difficulty version and the main source of Remolding Core items. Treat each map as its own puzzle: read the enemy phase and weapon weaknesses off the deployment screen and bring the matching element.

Expansion Drills

Unlocks at Commander Level 23. High-difficulty battles where clearing a harder map also grants every easier map's rewards, so push as deep as your best team can go. Reward pool resets every two weeks.

Source of doll-EX shards and gear. One strong element team plus a flexible support (Cheeta, Centaureissi, a borrowed friend unit) covers most of it.

Combat Exercise (async PvP)

Unlocks at Commander Level 30. Set a defence team; other players challenge it, you challenge theirs. Three Exercise Entry Passes a day. Winning earns Drill Points and rank; losing doesn't cost rank below Adept.

PvP rewards front-loaded burst and turn-one pressure — dolls who act out of turn or start with resources banked. Qiongjiu, Vector, Suomi and a fast opener like Makiatto are strong. A defensive Bulwark wall (Sabrina, Peri) frustrates attackers on defence.

It's a small weekly reward for the time — hit a rank you can hold and stop.

Platoon — Gunsmoke Frontline

Join a Platoon (guild) as soon as you can — the shop carries Papasha and Balthilde's Neural Archives and imprint weapons, plus Universal Chain Keys for Common Key Evolution.

Gunsmoke Frontline runs for a week every two weeks: daily Outpost Battles (scaled standard fights) and, from Commander Level 60, a Decisive Battle boss. Scores add to a personal and Platoon weekly total.

Each doll can only be deployed once per daily reset here, so this is the one mode that genuinely rewards a deep bench — every built doll you own contributes a score.

Coordination Drill & dailies

Coordination Drill (in the Campaign menu) is a set of challenge missions with unusual rules — fixed squads, gimmick objectives. One-time clears for pull currency; use the loaner units it provides.

Standardizing Sync (daily, Sardis Gold) is performance-ranked — clear fast against the hardest enemies for the Legendary tier; the game reuses your best run for auto-battle.

Supply Missions (Combat Reports, Analysis Blueprints, Weapon Accessories) are pure auto-battle dailies — set them and forget them.
