Why this tier

Astrasting holds A in slower games, where Flash Stinger's round trip gets two turns to spread debuffs across the enemy squad behind 105 DEF. Rushed teams punish that setup, and five types hit it for double.

How to use Astrasting

Astrasting plays a two-turn game. Flash Stinger hits, slips into Ambush and leaves; when it comes back it fires Scorpio Gleam III, hits again and spreads one stack of each of its debuffs across the enemy squad. Poison Swamp and Earth Spike give it traps to lay before the round trip.

105 DEF keeps it safe on the way in, but five types hit it for double and the setup is slow. MEGA TOMATO does more for a Dark slot when you want damage now; pick Astrasting for spreading status.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
