Magic Chess: GoGo commander tier list: Minotaur first, every commander ranked

Every released commander in Magic Chess: GoGo now has a tier and a written reason. Minotaur leads Season 7.1, with Nana and Brody beside him in S. Hero and synergy art across the section is now the game's own.

Three in S

Minotaur is first for Season 7.1. His skill and card give five enhanced items, and that lets a 2-star board beat 3-star lines through the middle of a match. The commanders who help you find heroes don't get that edge.

Nana is second. She survives two lethal hits, which buys more rounds of banking gold than any other kit, and her star-up turns the damage you took early into up to 30 Gold. Brody completes the band. He alone turns spare copies into 5-cost heroes, the scarcest units in the pool at 9 copies each.

  • S: Minotaur, Nana, Brody
  • A: 5 commanders
  • B: 25 commanders
  • C: 6 commanders

No more unranked commanders

Until now most commanders were listed without a tier. All 39 released commanders are now placed, each with a reason drawn from their skill, star-up and Power Card. Lukas stays unranked until he is released.

Most of the list is B, and that's the honest shape of it. A B commander has a kit that works without changing how you play the match. What lifts the top eight is that they change your economy or your item count, and those decide games more than a combat bonus does.

The game's own art, and Hero Compare

Hero heads, skill icons and synergy icons across the section have been replaced with the game's own images. Hero pages show the in-game shop card as the portrait, framed in the hero's cost colour, with synergy icons along the foot. Each hero's equipment list is now complete.

Hero Compare is in the menu too: pick heroes and read their stats and skills side by side before you choose a carry.
