Until Red Dragon hatches, Fire Fox fills its role at Epic rarity. Foxfire deals fixed damage equal to 15% of the enemy's Max HP when the fight starts and adds Burn on top, and two of its stars make the hit bigger. On a young account running a burn hero, that opener is the closest thing to a Legendary damage pet you'll have, and it is worth slotting until the real thing arrives.
Red Dragon starts at 40% and grows further with stars, and it drops to 2 energy at 1 star, while Fire Fox always costs 3. The moment the Dragon hatches, the Fox should leave the slot, since Epic pets beside Legendary ones lower your combat stats. Keep it owned for the 9% Total ATK it lends the whole roster; its star bonus tops out at 15%, against 24% on a Legendary pet.
Skill
When the fight starts, Deal fixed DMG equal to 15% of the enemy's Max HP, and inflict 5 Burn for 10 seconds.
