Pure Fire's damage multiplier: Evolution III lifts the Fire aura by half, and its burning fireballs keep the stun chain fed. The random fireball count keeps it from S.
Is Vulpyrean worth it?
Evolution III is the step that makes Vulpyrean worth the Essence, and its effect reaches the whole team rather than the fox itself. Infernotail raises Spectral Flames by half, so the bonus every Fire ally carries grows for Flaries' volley, Cinderpurr's grip and Pyregeist's explosion alike. The more Fire Palmon you field, the more that one step is worth, and in Pure Fire, with seven, it touches every slot.
The Evolution adds nothing to Burning Tails, so the random fireball count stays the line's weak point.
Evolution IV costs 160 Evolution Essence and gives the squad 5% Attack even while Vulpyrean sits out, and it is the step Scarvulpine requires. On a mixed team, stop earlier. With two or three Fire allies the aura is a small bonus, and the Essence goes further on a line whose Evolution helps any element.
