Current meta tier list
Evolution adds 25% to the fan and no new effect, which lifts it a band on raw damage alone. It earns a Pure Earth slot but does nothing to protect or buff the team around it.
Is Camouflynx worth it?
The Evolution gives Surveilynx more of what it already had. Kill Shot raises Shadow Step's damage by 25%, and since that fan already catches every enemy in its arc, the whole enemy side feels the increase at once. For a Pure Earth squad short on area damage, that is the upgrade it wanted.
What it leaves alone matters more. The basic attack stays at 74%, weak enough that the gaps between casts add almost nothing, and Tactical Drills remains a camp perk for training Armigo. No part of the kit protects or buffs an ally, so outside Pure Earth an evolved Surveilynx still does less for a team than Statchew's front-row damage cut.
Finish Evolution IV if you are committed to Earth: the 5% squad Attack applies from the bench, and it is the gate to Predalynx. That Mega is the only reason to push past IV, and it is a slow, expensive one, so weigh it against Leafergarde first.
