Its traps land on random targets and take a full 20s cycle to pay out, so the damage arrives slowly. For the same cost in Oath and Aurora Essence, Leafergarde changes Earth fights far more.
Is Predalynx worth it?
Predalynx is the Mega with the weakest case in the game, and the reason is the line under it rather than the skills themselves. Phantom Snare places traps on 3 random enemies every 20 seconds, each dealing 270% every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, and Snared Fury adds 30% damage against trapped targets. Totalled over a long fight that is a real amount of damage. The problem is that it arrives slowly, on random targets, on a Palmon that ranks near the bottom of Earth before any of it. Every other Mega in the game is bolted to a line that was already worth fielding. If you have Aurora Essence spare and a Pure Earth account, this is a fine sixth purchase. As a first or second Mega it buys less than Gnashswirl or Leafergarde would for the same outlay.
