Solo Leveling: Arise — hunter builds & artifacts guide

Updated 4 September 2026

The per-hunter version of this is the Recommended build box on each hunter's page. This guide is the system behind it — read it once and the build boxes make sense at a glance.

How a hunter build works

Every hunter has four things to equip: one weapon, eight Artifact pieces, three Cores, and their Advancement (dupe) nodes. Get the first three right and a hunter performs; Advancement is the long tail.

Weapon: each SSR hunter has one exclusive weapon that is always their best — its passive is written around their kit. Until you pull it, any SSR weapon that matches their scaling stat (and ideally their element) does the job.

Artifacts: eight slots — four Armor, four Jewelry. You either run one full 8-piece Complete set, or two 4-piece sets (one Armor, one Jewelry). The 8-set is the goal; the 4 + 4 mix is what you run while farming it. Each piece also rolls a main stat and four substats.

Cores: three slots — Mind (offence), Body (survival), Spirit (utility). One core each.

The class → 8-set pairing below is the game's own: the 8-piece bonus text literally names the class it rewards ("when a Striker equips this…"). The budget sets, core picks and substat order are loadoutgg's synthesis from each hunter's scaling stat and kit — a solid start, not a rule.

Battle class → artifact set

Your hunter's battle class is on their page (the Profile line) and decides the set. It is not the same as the combat class (Fighter / Mage / Tank…) — a Fighter can be a Striker, a Tank is usually a Breaker.

What each 8-piece set does:

  1. The Architect's Blue Poison (Striker) — Applies [Poison]: a permanent, stacking Attack/Defense ramp plus +30% Core / Basic Skill / Ultimate damage, and +20% Defense Penetration at 8 pieces. The 8-piece line adds "+50% damage dealt when a Striker equips this."
  2. Glorious Arrogance (Breaker) — Boosts [Break] skill damage by up to 50% and gives the whole team Crit DMG whenever a Break hit lands; +30% Break effectiveness at 8. The 8-piece line adds a Crit-DMG and team Crit-Rate bonus "when a Breaker equips this."
  3. Noble Flesh (Supporter) — A support set: team-wide stat and damage-taken-reduction effects that scale in [Team Fight] mode. The 8-piece line is written for Supporter-class units.
  4. Kamish's Obsession (Elemental Stacker) — Feeds Elemental Accumulation and Overload damage; the 8-piece line calls out Elemental Stacker units for extra Overload damage.
  5. Surtur's Flame (Elemental Buster) — Stacks Burst / Overload damage on a successful Overload; the 8-piece line reads "when an Elemental Buster equips this, +50% Overload damage."

Cores

Mind cores are offence, Body cores are survival, Spirit cores are utility — that split is the game's. The picks below are the safe default per class.

Swap the Mind core for Eyes of the Watcher on a Core-Attack carry, or Nameless Demon's Deception on an Ultimate-focused one. For a pure buffer (no healing) take Teeth of the Watcher on the Spirit slot instead of Ferocious Protector's Claw.

Stat & substat priority

"Scaling %" means Attack %, Defense % or HP % — whichever your hunter's damage (or heal) reads off. That's on their page. Rolling the wrong % is the most common build mistake on defence- and HP-scalers.

Breaker hunters

Staggers the boss into the [Break] state so the team's damage window opens; still does real damage itself. Scales on Attack, Defense or Max HP depending on the unit — that only changes which % main-stat you roll, not the set.

8-set: Glorious Arrogance. Everyone in this list runs it.

Hunters with no exclusive weapon yet

These hunters don't have a signature weapon released. Give them the best SSR weapon you have that matches their scaling stat and, ideally, their element — an off-element SSR still beats an on-element SR.
