9 Kings Achievements Guide: All 54, How Rare Each Is and How to Get the Hard Ones

Written by Updated 16 October 2026

9 Kings has 54 achievements on Steam. Twelve of them arrive by playing, and the rest ask you to build one odd thing on purpose.

The full list, most common first

The percentage is the share of Steam players who hold each achievement, read on 4 October 2026. It is the honest difficulty rating: 94.5% of players have won a game, and 2.3% have ever covered a kingdom in Vaults.

Twelve sit above 50% and need no plan. The work starts under 25%, where nearly every entry names a card and a number.

Two-card setups

Crossboar and Mountception are both about mounts. A Boar can be ridden by the troop on a plot beside it, and a Raptor is mounted the same way. Crossboar needs a King of Stone Ballista next to a King of Nature Boar, so play one of those kings and declare war on the other for the loot. Mountception wants the Boar itself next to a King of Nomads Raptor.

Stardew Kingdom needs one troop with a Farm on all four sides, which means the troop goes in the middle of the kingdom, not on its edge. The King of Nothing has both cards. For Scraps needs a Broken Cabulator, the King of Progress's trash card, and an Earthworks from the King of Stone to use on it.

Meatgrinder happens by itself if you let it. A Mangler sacrifices one adjacent unit every year, so put a small troop plot beside a Mangler and stop feeding that plot.

Nine of one card

Wonderwall, Double Double Double Dragon, The Spire Slays and Suburban King all want the same card on many plots. A kingdom has room for it only if you unlock plots, and you need nine copies. Clone copies the card of a plot, Extraction turns one plot into 5 copies of its card, and Earthworks hands back up to 3. For Wonderwall the King of Stone's Impervious perk gives 2 Wallmakers each time you lose a life.

Wall Street is the rarest achievement in the game at 2.3% because it asks for a Vault on every unlocked plot except the base. Do it early, in a kingdom you have deliberately not expanded: a few plots of Vaults is far easier than a full kingdom. A Vault levels itself up, so each plot needs only one copy. You will probably lose that run.

Babel is the opposite problem: one card from each of the nine kings on the board. Loot comes from the king you are fighting, so it takes war with every king in turn. The Diversification decree, which gives loot from all enemy kings, shortens it a lot.

Big numbers

Like Sardines, Alibaba, Suicide Squad and Flash Mob count units on one plot. Procreate adds 9 units to a troop and a Farm adds one a year per level, and the Baby Boom blessing doubles a plot outright. Thieves come 9 to a card, so Alibaba is five cards with no help. Bombers come 6 to a card, which is why 99 of them is a 14.1% achievement. For Flash Mob, a Mob gains a unit whenever a different card beside it gains one: surround the Mob with troops that are being farmed and it climbs with all of them.

Boared To Death needs 99999 HP on a Boar that starts with 16. Forests add 2% HP a year to the plots beside them, Feast doubles the max HP of all troops, and Over-invest adds 15% to everything for 30 gold. It is an endless mode project.

Ratticus the First is easier than it reads. A Lab Rat has no max level and levels up whenever a plot beside it does. A Concabulator levels up every plot you own when it reaches max level, so each one that fires is a level on the rat as well as on its neighbours.

Time, gold and diplomacy

Timerelapse and Time Bender both run on Portals. A Portal that reaches max level sends the kingdom 2 years back, and the Wormhole decree adds a year to each trip. Three trips in a run is Timerelapse. For Time Bender the trips have to start in the first years, before the calendar has moved far from zero, so open with Portals as the King of Time and level them at once.

One Dollar Short means standing in front of a merchant with exactly 29 gold, one short of the first card's price of 30. Merchants come in years 7, 19 and 31 and base income is 9 a year, so count backwards from the visit and spend the difference on a plot or a reroll. Spoiled Brat is its opposite. A reroll costs 10 more each time, so the price passes 999 on the hundredth reroll of one screen, and the total paid on the way is in the tens of thousands. It is a job for a Vault economy deep in endless mode.

Nobel Prize and The Enemy of My Enemy both come from the diplomats. In a normal run the war diplomat visits in year 9 and the peace diplomat in year 23, and in endless mode they return every eleven years. Peace with everyone takes patience and gold. War with everyone takes a kingdom that can survive it.

Whole-run challenges

Tower Defense is a win with no troops. The King of Stone is built for it: Trebuchets, Flametowers, Wallmakers and the Stronghold's own towers. Self-Sufficient is a King difficulty win with an empty perk grid, so do it with whichever king you win on most and simply clear the grid first.

Piece of Cake, a final battle won in under 9 seconds, comes with any finished build. So You Think You Can Speedrun is a different skill: the whole game in under 9 minutes of real time. Decide the build before you start, skip rerolls, and take the first acceptable card at every loot screen.

Meh, Whatever is the cheapest one on the list if you remember it. In year 33, throw every card in your hand into the pit before the last battle. Die Hard, surviving year 99, is the endless mode test and the only one here that asks how far a build goes after victory.

45 more already in the files

The game's files hold 99 achievements, 45 more than Steam shows. They are not earnable on Steam yet, but they show what is coming. Fifteen are about multiplayer: top 3 finishes with a given king, second place, last place, a promotion to a new rank, loot boxes, daily missions and king customisation. One asks for all 81 quests, and one for a win over the Jack of Chaos.

The rest are in the same spirit as the current list. Use Balance on a Paladin. Use a tome on a Golem. Have a Wizard, an Elf, a Dwarf and a Soldier in one kingdom. Get a plot to 100% crit chance, a troop to 9.0 movement speed, or an Obelisk past 9999 damage. Have a Shrine fail because every plot is already maxed. If you are doing one of these anyway, you are ahead of the patch that adds it.
