Why this tier

Merridoo sits one band under Unicorn at B: it has the same Innocence trait and carries Flicker Assist and Magic Trick on 100 DEF. Its 50-power signature finishes nothing, so Unicorn is the one to build.

Basic attackPony Charge

Its automatic attack: a Fairy hit every 0.9s for 9 power. That is among the quickest on the roster, and since every basic attack in the game trades power for interval at the same rate, the short gap buys extra hits rather than extra damage — which is what per-hit effects key off.

How to use Merridoo

Merridoo starts the Unicorn line with Innocence, adding 6 Flickergy to every skill, and it already carries Flicker Assist and Magic Trick, the two skills a Flicker team wants. Gleaming Rainbow gains 50% damage once 2 Flicker skills have been used. 100 DEF holds up. 88 ATK is weak, and Unicorn keeps the trait with a heavier finisher, so spend your materials there.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
