Dynamite Blue/Characters
XAAt a glance
- Why this tier
PvE ATeam-wide DEF and ATK cuts from skill Lv. 10 and 20 keep a Plasma team four-strong against Dueoksini. The shields protect Baeksa alone, where Mou covers the whole team.
GFC AAggro 400 pulls hits into the when-hit shield while DEF and ATK drop on the whole enemy team. Speed 110 and a self-only shield keep Baeksa below Mou.
Overview
Baeksa plays a support seat like a damage dealer. The skill hits every enemy for 230% every 3 turns, drops their DEF by 12% from skill Lv. 10 and their ATK by 10% from Lv. 20. From Lv. 20, each basic attack also has a 20% chance to break a guardian stone of any element, which is rare and useful in stone-heavy stages. That makes the kit strong in PvE stages, though the damage takes a 3-turn wait.
Aggro 400, unusual outside Vanguards, pulls hits onto the when-hit shield, but every shield in the kit protects Baeksa alone. Plasma is also the most crowded element and breaks stones on just three of the eight lists. Mou shields the whole team for 20%, and Drax cuts the team's damage taken by 40%, so both do more for a team. For team safety, either is the better pick.
In Code Red Plus, Baeksa takes Mother's seat, keeps the team four-Plasma against Dueoksini and spreads the DEF and ATK cuts across every enemy.
Baeksa is limited: Selectors can't pick Baeksa, and the banner's pity sits at 180 pulls against the Standard banner's 80. Pull only if Plasma teams are the goal; otherwise Mou and Drax come cheaper.

Skill unlock ladder
Baeksa's skills gain extra effects at fixed skill levels. The active skill can't go past half the character's level, and the passive opens at character Lv. 20. Spending Infinity in battle raises the skill level for that fight, so a gated effect can switch on early.

Awakening and dupes cost
License 5 caps Baeksa at Lv. 200. Each awakening star lifts that cap by 5 and adds a slice of base stats, up to Lv. 225 at 5★. Stars are paid in Baeksa's own shards, and as an XA-grade character every duplicate pull turns into 50 of them. Awakening is kept if you reset the character with a Migration Core.
| Star | Shards | Running total | Duplicates' worth | Level cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ★ | 30 | 30 | 1 | Lv. 205 |
| ★★ | 50 | 80 | 2 | Lv. 210 |
| ★★★ | 90 | 170 | 4 | Lv. 215 |
| ★★★★ | 110 | 280 | 6 | Lv. 220 |
| ★★★★★ | 220 | 500 | 10 | Lv. 225 |
"Duplicates' worth" is the running total divided by 50 and rounded up. Base stats rise 3% or 5% per star depending on the character's grade.
