Junpei

SPlasmaRewinder

It was on a certain night, when Coo&Beak Head Chef Lin Qiang went out to execute a swindler, that he discovered Junpei, who had lost his parents to con artists and been cast onto the streets. After Junpei nodded to the question, "Do you want revenge?", Lin Qiang took him in, made him do kitchen chores and haul ingredients by day, and brought him along to swindler executions by night. With his mother's keepsake katana hidden inside his chef's uniform, he waits for the day when Lin Qiang tells him, "You finish it this time." Laoku knows all of this and pretends not to. After all, he once did the same kind of thing.

PvECGFCC
Why this tier

PvE CTwo team heals, one needing no skill level, suit a young account's Plasma team. Mother does the same job at X grade with a team shield.

GFC CTwo team heals at Speed 100 arrive after most attacks. Mother heals more, and Mou adds Heal Block.

Overview

Junpei heals twice and hits hard for an S grade. Mala Strike hits every enemy for 160% every 3 turns and heals every ally for 10% from skill Lv. 10; Lv. 20 adds team ATK +15% for 2 turns and Lv. 30 a Slow on every enemy. The passive heals every ally 5% at each turn start with no roll and no skill level, which helps a fresh account right away. The free turn-start heal is the reason to level Junpei early.

HP is the weak point: Junpei trails Mother's X-grade line in the same element, and at Speed 100 the skill heal comes after most attacks. Mother heals more per cast and adds a team shield.

Junpei stands in for Mother in Firewall Starter, keeping Plasma and trading the shield for a heal every turn, and again in Code Red Plus.

A solid early healer to level while waiting for Mother or Rem. Move the resources over with a Migration Core when either arrives.

Exclusive gear

Junpei has four gear pieces of their own, one per slot. Each is named anew at every grade; the Legendary piece is shown.

Skill unlock ladder

Junpei's skills gain extra effects at fixed skill levels. The active skill can't go past half the character's level, and the passive opens at character Lv. 20. Spending Infinity in battle raises the skill level for that fight, so a gated effect can switch on early.

Awakening and dupes cost

License 5 caps Junpei at Lv. 200. Each awakening star lifts that cap by 5 and adds a slice of base stats, up to Lv. 225 at 5★. Stars are paid in Junpei's own shards, and as an S-grade character every duplicate pull turns into 30 of them. Awakening is kept if you reset the character with a Migration Core.
