Its Swift stacks always equal the number of Leech stacks on the current enemy.

At a glance
- Why this tier
Leech feeds its Swift and then its signature, on 110 ATK. Every cash-in resets both, which Thornbloom never has to do.

Hits the current enemy. Always crits if this Lumi's attack speed is higher than the target's.
The next skill this Lumi uses (other than Charge Up) gains +40 power. Lost if it switches out.
Hurls leaves at the current enemy; every Leech stack it carries heals each Lumi on your side of the field for 5% of max HP.
Raises this Lumi's ATK and DEF by 1 stage each.
Sets the field to Grassy Field, hits every enemy on the field and applies 1 Leech to each.
Skills marked "Used in official line-ups" are the ones the game's own in-client line-ups equip on Bloom. See those line-ups.
How to use Bloom
Bloom converts Leech into speed and then into one big hit. Pollinate sets its Swift equal to the Leech on the current enemy, and Blooming Flowers strips every stack for 40% more power each, so two Leech Seeds and then the signature is the whole rotation. 110 ATK makes that hit count.
Cashing in the Leech also drops its Swift to zero, so it has to rebuild. Thornbloom does the same job without spending the stacks, which makes it the better pick, and 86 DEF with 88 HP leaves little margin.

Sandlord builds stages and gives them away. Gloves Off costs 3 Energy and adds 2 stages to whichever of its ATK or DEF is lower, and Parting Gift hands every stage to the Lumi that replaces it when you switch it out yourself, so no skill slot goes on Baton Pass. Four casts make 4 ATK and 4 DEF stages for 12 Energy. Flamblades or Bloom, both on 110 ATK, then starts the fight already boosted.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
