At a glance
- Why this tier
As a control piece Frutafyre - Variant holds B, adding a Paralysis on every DEF drop from a 106 DEF body. With 82 ATK something else must finish, and Infernadra does the Burn-and-DEF job better.

How to use Frutafyre - Variant
The Variant's Rooted gives the enemy a Paralysis instead of a Leech whenever it lowers DEF, which turns Tail Whip and Dragon Rage into control. Thorn Charge still rolls 75% at Leech, Burn and DEF. 106 DEF is sturdy. 82 ATK is weak, and Infernadra remains the better setter.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
