When hit by a skill, applies Frostbite to the attacker, with extra stacks during Snow.
Lumi Master/Lumis

At a glance
- Why this tier
Rimedeer - Variant holds A with Rimedeer's Snow setup and a signature that hits for 90 instead of 40. Middling stats keep it below Skollfang.
Rimedeer - Variant's skills
Fixed kit always on Rimedeer - Variant, can't be swapped
Costs 1 less Energy for each Ice Lumi in your squad. Sets the weather to Snow, hits the current grounded enemy and applies 1 Frostbite.
Its automatic attack: a Ice hit every 1.2s for 12 power. That is slower than most, so anything that triggers per hit rather than per point of damage fires less often here.
Swappable skills choose which one to equip
Hits the current enemy twice; each hit has a 20% chance to apply 1 Frostbite.
Raises this Lumi's DEF by 2 stages.
Hits the current enemy once, plus once more for each different status effect it carries (up to 5 hits).
Hits the current enemy and applies 1 Frostbite — 3 during Snow.
Pelts every enemy on the field with hail for 3 hits in total.
Drops a Frostbite trap where the current enemy is standing, applying 1 Frostbite to any enemy Lumi that moves onto it.
Skills marked "Used in official line-ups" are the ones the game's own in-client line-ups equip on Rimedeer - Variant. See those line-ups.
How to use Rimedeer - Variant
The Variant fixes Rimedeer's weak hit: its Frostspike carries 90 power instead of 40, with the same Snow, the same Frostbite and the same discount per Ice Lumi. Spirit of Snow still frostbites anyone who hits it with a skill, and Hail becomes a real option.
90 ATK and 95 DEF are middling, and Steel, Fire and Brawler each deal double. Skollfang is the stronger Ice pick; this is the Snow setter that also hits.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
