Overview

The starter Ranger's kit comes down to two small numbers. Focus Training adds 5% Accuracy, which rarely decides a fight, and Pickpocket's coin chance on shop entry is pocket change by the mid game. Neither one shapes a build, so every run depends on what the shop happens to offer. His supplies (Target, Baby Hawk, Hawk, Bear Trap) feed Focus and strip Dodge, which is enough to learn how Ranger backpacks work.

Acrobat is also a Rare Ranger, and it's the one that shows up in real burn runs with Primal Flame. Switch to Acrobat as soon as you own it. Stars on Ranger still raise the ownership HP bonus, so they aren't wasted, but don't pick him for a push.
