Overview
The starter Wizard's kit is a flat 5% damage bonus and a shop perk. Master Negotiator gives a 15% chance of one extra discounted item each shop visit, and his supplies lean that way too, bringing a Reroll Sale Card and a Large HP Potion rather than a spell. That makes him a hero for learning how the shop and merging work, not for fighting.
A flat 5% never changes a matchup. Fire Mage, another free Wizard, gets up to 30% from Short-Term Memory by keeping the spell list short, six times the ceiling. Switch as soon as Fire Mage unlocks, and treat Wizard stars as a small ownership HP bonus, nothing more.
