While below 50% HP, its basic attacks heal it for 100% of the damage they deal. The first time it drops below half, it also gains 1 Swift.

At a glance
- Why this tier
Lycanite holds A with 106 ATK and a signature that crits at 3 Swift, backed by Self-Heal under half HP. Lycanite - Variant reaches those thresholds a turn sooner, which is why it sits a band above.

How to use Lycanite
Lycanite hits hardest once it has built Swift. Deadly Claw always crits at 3 Swift and strikes twice at 5, and Swift Strike adds one per cast, so it needs a few turns or a Relay from a partner. Self-Heal makes its basic attacks heal for all their damage below half HP, which keeps it in the fight.
The Variant reaches lifesteal at 2 Swift and a double strike at 4, a turn sooner at each step, which makes Lycanite - Variant the better pick. 88 HP is its weak spot.

- Lycanite CoreIn-game line-up · Swift stacking into Lycanite

Lycanite's Deadly Claw always crits once Lycanite holds 3 Swift, and strikes a second time at 5. The other two are there to get it to that count. Latteccino's Speed Up gives 1 Swift to every Lumi in your squad, bench included. Flamblades makes Swift out of Burn, 1 each time it applies Burn plus 1 for every 2 Burn on the target, and its Relay hands every stack it holds to the Lumi that switches in.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
