While in your squad and still standing, allies with a positive DEF stage can't be critically hit. Each additional Earth Lumi in your squad increases the DEF boost by 10%.

At a glance
- Why this tier
Petrokat is C: Sacred Earth makes allies with DEF stages immune to crits and 106 DEF keeps it up, but 88 ATK never finishes anything. Rochelon gives Ground teams more for the slot.

How to use Petrokat
Petrokat stops crits. While it stands, Sacred Earth makes any ally with a positive DEF stage immune to critical hits, which shuts down crit teams built on Nimble or Raid. Earth Barrier and Earth Retreat hand out those DEF stages. 106 DEF is high. 88 ATK is weak, so it needs an attacker beside it. Rochelon is the better Ground pick in the Arena.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
