Balanced coreGeneral PvE — story progression and difficult stages
Carmen
Xuanji
Patra
Maro
A real frontline, two different damage paths and a healer: the most complete all-round lineup on the current roster.
None in this comp

Carmen holds the front: her Extreme gives everyone nearby Defense +26.5% for 30 seconds, and her Auto Skill heals the weakest ally for 148%.
The two Arcanists damage in different ways. Xuanji's Executions only land on knocked-down enemies, while Patra's 880% Extreme hits an area regardless and cuts Magic Resistance, so the team keeps working when knockdowns are rare.
Maro heals twice, with a 150% area heal and a zone that ticks 76% every 2 seconds.
The weak spot is the front line: nobody else holds aggro if Carmen falls. For long boss fights, Defense and sustain trades Patra for Garana.
Execution coreFights built around Knockdown and ExecutionBuilt around Xuanji
Carmen
Xuanji
Jenny
Maro
Knock enemies down, then cash in: three members have skills that only fire on downed targets, and Carmen keeps them alive long enough to cycle.
None in this comp

Jenny's and Maro's Auto Skills are both Executions, so every Knockdown feeds Xuanji's Attack Speed stacks.
Knockdowns come from two places: Carmen's Extreme adds 40 Stagger and Jenny's adds 10 on a 2320% hit, so bosses go down often.
Carmen's Defense +26.5% buff and 148% rescue heal cover the team while the loop builds, and Maro heals behind her.
The weakness is enemies that resist knockdown. If they stay up, three of the four lose their best skill; Balanced core does better there.
Magic coreWide fights where area damage and Extreme Skills matter mostBuilt around Patra
Carmen
Patra
Xuanji
Peseshet
Leans on Patra's area magic damage with a support that boosts the whole team's Extreme Skills.
None in this comp

Patra's Passive finishes her Class Skill cooldown whenever another Arcanist uses an Extreme, and Xuanji is an Arcanist.
Patra's 510% and 880% Extreme cuts Magic Resistance by up to 20%, and Peseshet's Auto Skill gives every ally +8% Extreme damage, so the whole team leans on Extremes.
Peseshet's staged heal follows one ally, which suits a Carmen who moves to rescue the lowest-Health Witch.
Her team heal is only 41%, so this comp is weaker than the Maro teams against steady area damage. Pick it for wide fights with many targets.
Defense and sustainLong or punishing fights where survival comes firstBuilt around Xuanji
Carmen
Garana
Xuanji
Maro
Two Defenders and a healer around one damage dealer: slower, but very hard to break.
None in this comp

Two layers of Defense stack here: Carmen's Extreme gives +26.5% for 30 seconds and Garana's adds +15.5% for 20, while Garana's Auto Skill cuts the enemies' Bonus Damage by 20%.
Both Defenders Taunt, so if one goes down the other still holds aggro, which is the gap in Balanced core.
Xuanji is the only damage dealer, and her Executions need knockdowns; Carmen's 40 Stagger and Garana's Dizzies feed her.
The trade is clear time. Pick it for long or punishing fights, and swap Patra in for Xuanji when enemies rarely go down.
Accessible coreAccounts without the top SSRs yetBuilt around Jenny
Garana
Jenny
Peseshet
Dusan
Protection, sustain and a Stagger-into-Execution loop from Witches that are easier to get and raise — two of the four are SRs.
None in this comp

Short on time rather than survival? Put more investment into Jenny before swapping anyone.
Garana holds the front with Taunt, Dizzy and Defense +15.5%, and Peseshet's three-stage heal of 175%, 200% and 270% follows her as she moves.
Dusan's 50 Stagger and Jenny's 10 knock enemies down, then Jenny's and Dusan's Auto Skills cash in on the downed targets.
Budi is the swap when the team keeps losing: her Extreme heals herself 200% before a 975% hit, which trades Dusan's Stagger for a second body at the front. Nobody here heals as much as Maro, so it struggles in long fights.
Early story progressionFirst week — pushing the main story
Xinzi
Xuanji
Garana
Maro
One Witch of each Class, built as a single team: the lineup to pour early resources into instead of levelling everyone evenly.

Class Equipment and Talent Serums are both split by Class, so one Witch per Class is the cheapest team to raise early on.
Each member covers one job: Xinzi dodges and counters at the front, Garana Taunts and Dizzies, Xuanji executes, and Maro heals with a 150% area heal and a 76% zone.
The substitutes are real options, not downgrades to avoid: Qing's Defense +40% Extreme holds the front until Garana is built, and Doroa's 91% zone covers Maro's slot, at lower numbers.
It grows into Double Arcanist offense by trading Garana for Jenny once the team is strong enough.
Double Arcanist offenseClearing faster once the team is well built
Xinzi
Xuanji
Jenny
Maro
Drops the Defender for a second Arcanist: more damage, less margin for error.

None in this comp

Build a balanced one-per-Class team first; switch to this once your Witches' stars and equipment have caught up.
Xinzi replaces the Defender. Her 90% damage reduction on each dodge keeps her alive, but only if you time the dodges, so this team needs manual play.
Jenny's 2320% Extreme with 10 Stagger knocks enemies down, and Xuanji's 399% and 510% Executions cash that in; Maro's Execution adds +10% team damage on top.
Nobody Taunts, so enemies that ignore Xinzi reach Maro. Against bosses that hit the whole team, Execution core with Carmen is safer.
