Emberville in brief

What Emberville is

Emberville is a single-player action RPG from Cygnus Cross. You wake inside the Vitromotus, a dungeon under the town where death doesn't last, and fight your way back up to rescue the survivors and rebuild Emberville above it. Between dives you gather, farm and craft, and the dungeon changes each time you go back down.

Early Access opens on Steam on October 27, 2026 at 15:00 UTC, for Windows, at $29.99 with 10% off in launch week ($26.99). There are no microtransactions.

What Early Access holds

The launch build covers Biome 1 and its story, the class system, town rebuilding, crafting and building. The free demo plays the prologue and that same first biome, and its saves carry over, so time spent in the demo counts. The first update is due within a month of launch with Biome 1's final boss, controller support, more languages and a roadmap. Nine biomes are planned across Early Access, with co-op, modding and console versions aimed at 1.0, about a year after launch.

What to focus on first

Your class sets your skills, but weapons and jobs decide how quickly you grow. The Knight, Mage and Wanderer each start with two skills open and a tree that keeps unlocking up to level 35, and every active skill spends Kymia, so a build that burns it fast needs a way to get it back. Weapons level on their own track: each weapon type has its own mastery tree, which is a reason to settle on one type early rather than swap to every new drop.

Crafting runs through 14 jobs. Smelting is the one to start first. A Copper Ingot takes 10 Copper ore and 20 seconds at the Furnace, and every sword and pair of knuckles made at the Anvil needs two or three of them.

Where to start on the site

Gear & Items lists every weapon, armour piece, food and material with its numbers and what it is made from, and compares weapons by average hit and attack rate. Crafting has every recipe by station, with a calculator that turns a shopping list into raw materials, time and job levels. Classes & Skills draws each class's tree with its values per level, and Masteries shows what each weapon type, armour weight and job unlocks as it levels. The Vitromotus page covers the biomes, the difficulty modes, how dungeons are laid out, both bosses and every story quest.
