Sword of Convallaria/Best Teams
Sword of Convallaria Best Teams
SoC teams are five units plus positioning, adapted to each map. These are role cores — a carry, a support, a tank, an amp, a flex — for the main content types. The 2026 meta rewards piercing damage and debuffing over pure AoE, and a strong dispel support is close to mandatory. SP-prefixed units are Spiral Program alternate versions.

SoC teams are five units plus positioning, and you adapt to the map. This is the reliable core: a carry, a support, a tank, an amp, and a flex. The 2026 meta rewards piercing damage and debuffing over pure AoE.
Full pick list & why
Carry · DPSYour best DPS — Rogneda or Estra for single-target, Shahnaz for burst AoE, a Lucian unit (Ivan) if you have one. Position it where it can reach without being exposedRecommended build:
Void StabSolid physical dagger — A dependable physical-attack weapon with no awkward activation condition — good filler on most physical units until a signature is available.
Full item page →
Support · SupportTaair (dispel + speed control) or Heshan (dispel + team crit buff + tanky). Modern stages pile on debuffs — a strong dispeller is close to mandatoryRecommended build:
Reorganized CubeStaff · healing + dispel on skill — A staff: +15% healing effect, and cleanses a debuff from the wielder whenever they use a skill. The benchmark weapon for a staff-wielding healer.
Full item page →
Tank · TankSP Alexei (unkillable, soaks everything) or Arman (team-wide Aegis) if you have them; otherwise Clara or Ayishah. Front the tank and let it absorb the enemy's turn
Amp / debuffer · SupportYserinde (piercing-damage aura + utility), Yennefer (buffs + debuffs + teleport), or SP Samantha (magic vulnerability + alert interruption)Recommended build:
Void StabSolid physical dagger — A dependable physical-attack weapon with no awkward activation condition — good filler on most physical units until a signature is available.

Flex / second DPS · FlexSP Inanna to give the carry extra turns, a second damage dealer, or a specialist the map calls forRecommended build:
Newborn Blade+10% HP, attack from HP — +10% max HP and bonus attack that scales from max HP. A no-frills sword for physical units that scale off HP.

- Positioning is half the game — keep squishy Destroyers and Watchers out of Watcher-archer line of sight, and huddle units that share co-attack / co-defense buffs (SP Inanna's aura).
- Piercing damage cuts through the stacked shields the newest content throws at you — a piercing carry (Rogneda, Afra, Kvare) or an amp that adds piercing vulnerability (Kvare's Nightmare Puppet) matters.
- SP Rawiyah is the best auto-play carry — she saves the most time on daily grinds.
- SP Inanna's Act Again loop is the single strongest support engine — she effectively gives you an extra unit.
- For expert / hard modes, an unkillable tank (SP Alexei) frees every other unit to act without babysitting.
Flex / subs: Camelot or Lukamar as an AoE / element core if you don't have the newest carries · Credenza / Cocoa for extra AoE healing + dispel · Kianshir for meat-shield summons + buffs · Any collab unit (Geralt, Triss, Falin, Senshi) — they're all solid

Unkillable tank
Piercing carry
Mobile enabler
Second DPS
Utility support
The hardest recurring PvE — enemies with high stats, stacked shields and heavy debuffs. The current Lucian-arc squad the community runs for exactly this content leans on piercing damage, an unkillable tank and a mobile enabler, and floors still reward a diverse roster since requirements rotate.
Full pick list & why
Unkillable tank · TankSP Alexei — soaks all enemy focus so the rest of the team acts freely. The core of clearing the hardest floors
Piercing carry · DPSAnna — a top Breaker whose piercing-friendly kit ignores the stacked shields these enemies run, where pure AoE nukes bounce offRecommended build:
Anna's Astral Bow~+32% attack — Roughly +32% attack — a clean, large stat stick for an archer.
Full item page →
Mobile enabler · SupportUlya — a newer Seeker whose pickups grant allies speed, a damage buff and a dispel, useful against the heavy debuffs these floors bury you inRecommended build:
Longbow of MartyrsBow · flat damage increase — A bow: a flat damage increase with no activation condition. Called an automatic pick for any bow user by community build guides.
Full item page →
Second DPS / Breaker · DPSSP Nungal — a Breaker built around the same piercing-damage plan the Lucian arc runs on, giving the squad a second consistent damage source
Utility support · SupportYennefer or Shahnaz — team buffs, enemy debuffs and repositioning (Yennefer) or raw burst (Shahnaz), depending on whether the floor needs more utility or more damageRecommended build:
Focus WandStaff · +magic attack, +1 range — A staff: +magic attack and +1 range on single-target attacks. The extra range is a high-value effect on a back-line caster, and extends range-based kits such as Yennefer's teleports and summons.

- This is the squad the community is currently running for Lucian-arc endgame content — an unkillable tank plus a piercing-focused core, with a mobile enabler covering the dispel/utility gap.
- Read the floor before you start — bring the immunities it checks (there's no penalty for scouting).
- Because floors rotate their requirements, a wide, invested roster beats a narrow one — Heshan/Taair (dispel), Rogneda/Afra/Kvare (piercing) and Camelot (Shield Break) are all solid substitutes if you don't have the squad above yet.
- This is a good place to run your best Astral weapons (see the Gear tier list guide) — the difficulty rewards the extra stats.
Flex / subs: Clara for team shielding on burst-damage floors · Yserinde for the piercing-damage aura across the whole team · Credenza to reduce the carry's cooldowns · Nydia / Finn — units that bring a second body double your action economy

Burst carry

Support
SoC PvP is asynchronous — you set a defence and the AI plays it, and you attack others' defences. It rewards units that act out of turn (alerts, counters, strike-back), disruption, and burst that removes a threat before it moves.
Full pick list & why
Alert / disruptor · ControlSP Samantha or (CN) alert-focused units — interrupt enemy actions, apply oblivion, punish movementRecommended build:
Light to Purge All EvilCrit for out-of-turn mage hits — Grants crit chance and crit damage to any out-of-turn magic attack — huge on reaction / alert mages.
Full item page →
Burst carry · DPSSP Rawiyah or Rogneda — the best mobility and burst; delete a key enemy in one turn before it acts
Bruiser / counter · DPSYserinde or a counterattacking piercing unit — punishes the enemy AI for engaging, adds piercing damage the aura sharesRecommended build:
Void StabSolid physical dagger — A dependable physical-attack weapon with no awkward activation condition — good filler on most physical units until a signature is available.
Full item page →
Tank · TankArman or SP Alexei — the wall that makes the enemy AI waste turns; Arman's opening Aegis blunts the first exchange
Support · SupportSP Inanna or Heshan — extra turns and healing so your team out-values the enemy over the matchRecommended build:
Newborn Blade+10% HP, attack from HP — +10% max HP and bonus attack that scales from max HP. A no-frills sword for physical units that scale off HP.
Full item page →
- On defence, the AI plays your team, so favour units that are strong on auto (SP Rawiyah) and passive value (counters, alerts, auras) over units that need a precise manual combo.
- On offence you play manually — front a tank, bait the enemy defence into committing, then burst the unit that threatens you most.
- Speed and turn order decide fights — a faster team that acts first often wins the opening exchange outright.
- The current meta favours piercing damage and out-of-turn attacks; light-of-purge-all-evil / Hunter's Intuition-type gear amplifies that (see the Gear guide).
Flex / subs: Shahnaz for raw opening burst against squishier defences · Clara for a shield wall that stalls aggressive attackers · Credenza / Yennefer for utility and repositioning · Any unit you've invested heavily in — investment matters more in PvP than the exact pick

Tank

Selector
Ranged DPS
Flex
The staple free-to-play core the community actually recommends new accounts build toward: two fixed roles you can get for free, plus flexible slots for whatever your early pulls give you. SoC is generous with pulls and the story clears fine on this core alone — go deep on it before spreading thin.
Full pick list & why
Tank · TankThe safe default front-liner almost every account ends up with — solid and durable early on. Suppression is a fine alternative if you pull him insteadRecommended build:
Senator's Swift SwordSword · +HP, move-down on hit — +HP, and single-target attacks inflict Move Down I for one turn. Good on a tank you want sticking to a target rather than letting it run.
Full item page →
Healer · SupportThe game hands out free duplicate copies of Angel through the story track, so she naturally reaches a useful star level without spending pulls. Samantha replaces her if you pull her insteadRecommended build:
Reorganized CubeStaff · healing + dispel on skill — A staff: +15% healing effect, and cleanses a debuff from the wielder whenever they use a skill. The benchmark weapon for a staff-wielding healer.
Full item page →
Selector / banner carry · DPSGloria is close to mandatory if you pull her — the movement buff she opens a fight with, plus her own buffing and knockback, lifts the whole squad, not just one slot. Otherwise take whichever carry your beginner selector or early banners give you
Ranged DPS · DPSDivine Grace — the safest free-to-play ranged pick, and built to pair with Angel: her heals hand out the buffs his kit needs to hit hardestRecommended build:
Longbow of MartyrsBow · flat damage increase — A bow: a flat damage increase with no activation condition. Called an automatic pick for any bow user by community build guides.
Full item page →
Flex · FlexCrimson Falcon (free-to-play) or Rawiyah once you have her — either slots in as mobile coverage for whatever your first four don't handleRecommended build:
Void StabSolid physical dagger — A dependable physical-attack weapon with no awkward activation condition — good filler on most physical units until a signature is available.

- There's no one-size-fits-all team in SoC — adjust the flex slot to the map: bring more Defenders against an all-Seeker enemy team (and vice versa), more knockback units on maps with pits or hazards, more ranged units where explosive barrels are in play.
- Do the story and the tutorial modes first — they hand out a large pull stockpile, and the Anecdote side-stories give more.
- Redeem the codes (see the Codes page) before you spend — they're Hope Luxite (pull currency).
- Don't reroll obsessively — the selector plus the anniversary generosity means most accounts end up fine. If you do target one unit, aim for a support (they never fall off) over a specific DPS.
- Learn one map at a time — SoC rewards planning the whole turn (movement, height, facing) rather than stat-checking. Retry is free.
- Save your weapon / Astral resources for the units in the Tier List's S and A bands — don't invest in early filler.
Flex / subs: Any Legendary you pull — high rarity beats holding a lower one · The free story units are serviceable stopgaps for any empty slot · A collab unit (Geralt, Triss, Falin, Senshi) if one is on the current banner — they're all strong
