Dynamite Blue tier list update: Hyki moves to S, Muro and Mou drop to A

Our first re-rank since the global release moves nine characters. Hyki is now S in both PvE and GFC, three X-grade units climb to A, and three XA units come down a band.

What moved

The tier list now follows how teams have actually played since the global servers opened, where the launch version leaned on our reading of each kit. Nine characters changed band across the two tabs: PvE (Signet Game, Firewall and the Code Dungeon) and GFC, the PvP arena.

  • Hyki: A to S in PvE and GFC
  • Lilly, Ru and Yasha: B to A in both tabs
  • Sol: A to S in GFC, still A in PvE
  • Rem: S to A in PvE, still A in GFC
  • Muro and Mou: S to A in both tabs
  • Verdorman: A to B in PvE, still B in GFC

Hyki is the one to build first

Hyki earns the jump on speed. From skill Lv. 20 its skill throws an 80% Stun across every enemy, and at Speed 126 that Stun usually lands before the enemy moves, so a Signet wave often loses its first turn. The same opener carries over to GFC, where a 20% healing cut on top makes Hyki a natural fit for teams built to shut down healers.

The limit is the cooldown. Five turns means three casts in a 15-round stage, and GFC's crowd-control falloff drops the Stun chance to 75% and then 45% on targets past the main one. Hyki wins the opening; the rest of the team has to finish the fight.

Three X-grade units step up

Lilly, Ru and Yasha all moved for a team job that nobody else at X grade covers as well. None of them is a main damage dealer, and none needs to be. Lilly needs skill Lv. 20 and Ru skill Lv. 30 before their team job switches on; Yasha's works from the first day.

Sol climbs in the arena only

Sol's GFC case rests on one skill level. From skill Lv. 20 it is immune to crowd control, so the Stun and Paralyze that arena teams open with slide off while it keeps hitting every enemy for 160% and stacking DEF cuts. Its own 30% Stun is too unreliable to count on.

In PvE Sol stays at A. Its team-wide DEF cut comes round every 3 turns, faster than Lain's 5, but Hyde reaches the same targets every 2 turns. Sol is also a limited unit, so it isn't a pull to chase for PvE alone.

Who came down, and why

Rem, Muro and Mou are still good characters. The S band is now kept for units that carry a stage on their own kit, and each of these leans on a teammate or on Skill Cores to get there.

Rem is still the first healer to build: a 30% team heal and a 30% damage cut from skill Lv. 1, and the only released XA in Bio. Everything in that kit is defensive, though, with 120% damage on a 4-turn cooldown. Muro works the day a copy lands, with a 70% Silence and 90% true damage at no skill level, but it hits one target per cast where Hyde and Hyki reach every enemy. Mou's 20% team shield needs skill Lv. 30, which means three Skill Cores, and Ari's 75% team shield and Drax's 40% damage cut protect far more.

Verdorman slips to B in PvE. Bio sits on four Guardian Stone lists, so it still has stages to break, but its team shield is 8% and its Taunt waits until skill Lv. 30.

What to do with your pulls

If you have Hyki, build it before anything on the A list. If you're choosing a healer, Rem is the everyday pick and Ru the specialist you bring for Signet chapters 2 and 4. Players who already sank Skill Cores into Muro or Mou haven't wasted them: both are A, and Mou's Heal Block from skill Lv. 10 is still the arena's answer to an enemy healer, as long as you cast it the turn before that healer acts.
