How to use Hylos
Of all the 2-Gold tanks, Hylos is the one our comps lean on most: he is in four of them as extra front-line HP. He shares the top HP at his cost with Balmond, and Law and Order adds a short shield on top of a single hit, so his main job is buying time rather than dealing damage.
His Mana Cap of 80 and slow attack speed mean the shield comes late in a fight. The skill hits a single target, so he threatens no one; his value is the time he buys for your carry.
He counts for Defender, which gives every ally Hybrid DEF and Defenders more, and Shadeweaver, which needs only Kadita or Melissa on the board to turn on. That makes him easy to slot into Defender wall, Dragon Altar, Starbelle stack and Weapon Master. Two-star him early in nearly any board that is short on front line. Atlas or Baxia replace him late, unless the Defender count still needs him.

ShadeweaverAt the start of battle a gust tears down every column that holds a Shadeweaver hero, starting from the back tile — it speeds up allies in the lane and knocks any enemies it passes into the air.
DefenderEvery ally gains Hybrid DEF; Defenders gain a larger share, and that extra is doubled for the first 20 seconds of the fight.
